Looking to enjoy the water in Gig Harbor?

Posted by Matt Thomson 1 Comment »

It’s hot in Gig Harbor.  Maybe not Phoenix or Orlando hot, but hot.  Fortunately, we’re surrounded by cold water.  It’s amazing how much cooler it is by the water than it is a bit inland.  There are several ways to enjoy the water around here.  You can re-read my earlier post about the boat tours and renting boats in Gig Harbor, you can hang out at Kopachuck Park or Narrows Park, or you can buy waterfront property in Gig Harbor!  Did you know there are currently 121 homes in Gig Harbor that are listed as waterfront?  That doesn’t include manufactured homes, doesn’t include condos, and doesn’t include the Key Peninsula (which offers a whole new world of affordable waterfront).  That’s 121 single family homes in Gig Harbor that are on some form of Puget Sound or Lakefront waterfront.  Prices range from $369,000 (for a 1bd, 1ba cabin on Wollochet Bay) to $7.888M for a 7300+sf, 20+acre estate on Fox Island.  There are 23 waterfront homes in Gig Harbor that are on the market for under $700,000.

Take a look at this quick video and let me know if you’re interested in taking a boat tour of Gig Harbor waterfront real estate or if you’re in the market to buy or sell waterfront property in Gig Harbor or Fox Island.

Beatniks make Gig Harbor one big party

I love the sense of community here in Gig Harbor.  Have I mentioned that before?  Last night was a perfect example.  A portion of Harborview Drive in downtown Gig Harbor was shut down last night for the Beatniks’ concert in the park.  It was hot, sunny, high tide, and high fun.  Click the image below for a short video of the scene.

Video blogging in Gig Harbor?

Posted by Matt Thomson 3 Comments »

I’m thinking of making the move towards adding some video blogs, or vlogs, to this site.  Gig Harbor is such a gorgeous place, I think video may be a nice touch.  Chime in and let me know your thoughts, or ideas of things you’d like to see via video.  Hopefully they’ll get better…this is attempt #1.  Nothing too exciting on this one.  I was at a  beach house in Gig Harbor and saw this ship sailing out of  the Port of Tacoma.  HUGE doesn’t do it justice.
