This has been a very busy week for me…sorry for not getting any posts up before now.  Here are a few photos of the Gig Harbor Christmas Tree.

Be sure to get a call in to City and thank them for putting up the CHRISTmas nativity scene…the jeers are already coming in to the Gateway…

THANK-YOU City OF Gig Harbor Operations for not caving in to the p.c. police…

I saw the Jeers, but fortunately a Cheer too. I understand not everyone in America is Christian, but Christmas is the holiday celebrating Christ’s birth. Seems to me if that offends you, don’t celebrate it.
I don’t celebrate Halloween, but I don’t protest it and demand it be called Harvest and no ghosts or goblins can be displayed.
I realize this may sound critical, but it’s really something I don’t understand.

the question my husband and I have, is what is WRONG with jesus christ? what did he ever do that was “wrong” to anyone, including that writer who protested? we can never understand what jesus did to offend anyone. please shed some light!

I think Christ did plenty that was offensive. Calling folks “Brood of Vipers,” referring to a disciple as “Satan,” telling the Pharisees they were bound for destruction.
Jesus spoke truth, and truth is offensive to those who are opposed to truth. We celebrate MLK’s birthday, we celebrate Abe Lincoln’s birthday, and they were offensive due to speaking the truth.
