Purple Mountains Majesty…

Posted by Matt Thomson

I never grow tired of Mt Rainier photos taken from the Gig Harbor area.  One of my favorite parts of running this blog has been all of the great photographers that I’ve gotten to meet (you should check out my ‘09 calendar to see some of the photos!).  Here’s one of my favorite shots of Mount Rainier.  I love the sunrise colors and how crisp and clear the mountain looks.  If you’re afraid to move to this area because you think it always rains, just look at my photos.  If you’re afraid to move because you’re worried that Mt Rainier will erupt, it may sometime in the next 500-1000 years.  It’s a risk I’m willing to take!
