Open Houses in Gig Harbor

Posted by Matt Thomson

Light load of open houses in Gig Harbor this weekend.  I think all of the fun financial news has had an impact on real estate in Gig Harbor.  Folks have been a bit hesitant to get out and look.  I think many folks are realizing that with home prices low (and still falling), rent prices rising, stocks being more and more unstable, that real estate may indeed be where they want their money.  Others are leaning towards the bury your money in the back yard technique, but remember that’s only possible if you own a home with a back yard!

Anyway, enough of my sidetrack.  Real estate is still moving in Gig Harbor, and 10 great homes are open for viewing this weekend (2 on Saturday).  You can view my interactive map of open houses here.  If you see anything that you like, or if you’d like a private tour of any homes for sale in Gig Harbor, please give me a call.  I’d be happy to chat with you and have you chat with the financial professionals on my team to determine if it does indeed make sense for you to buy or sell your home now.

I think you’re right in saying people are hesitant to get out and look at homes to purchase. But, historically real estate has always been a worthwhile investment. It’s no different today. Although buyers may not be able to make a quick buck with instant equity, real estate will still pay off in the long run. Stocks, on the other hand, don’t seem to fare as well these days!

Stocks don’t make for nearly as comfortable of a shelter during our rainy season as houses do, either!
