Gig Harbor is a BEAUTIFUL place to live and I believe the nicest spot in the Pac. Northwest! I have lived in Seattle, Bellevue, and Silverdale. I travel the Northwest for business including Idaho, Montana, Oregon and B.C. It is a one way trip out of the golden state but worth it for a better quality of life. (and more affordable!) I think California may be facing a brain drain...The winters are sometimes rough up here but getting out of dodge once in a while helps... Mark P.S. We have our share of not so nice weather, but we have our share of great weather as well. The summers that have been great. The climate is just about right, sure we get the rain in the fall and winter, we are the evergreen state! The flowers start some of blooming as early as February. I like the summers we have a mixture of comfortable days and down right hot ones. It all evens out. I have been in the harbor for 15 years. It was beautiful, and not too cold. Walking along the harbor last Sunday was delightful. We came back to COLD and snow, not nearly as pleasant as Gig Harbor!
