Cold day in Gig Harbor
Okay, I know I have regular readers in Minnesota, Chicago, and Utah, so you guys won’t have any sympathy for me here, but for my readers locally and in Southern California, this is for your benefit. I woke up this morning to find my dog’s outside water bowls frozen solid (don’t worry, he’s an inside dog with inside water as well). We dropped below 30 last night, which qualifies as a cold November day in Western Washington. Below is a nice shot of the public dock in Gig Harbor on a nice frosty morning.

From one of your UT readers …. It was 9 (yes, nine!) degrees when I woke up here this morning. Too cold for people AND dogs!! Stay warm!

It looks like we left Utah just in time. (Thanksgiving eve)

You don’t under stand cold do you?
30 is chilly, but 0 and below are much worse.

OK, I originally read that as 30 below, not below 30, and nearly had a panic attack! Looking forward to my move to Gig Harbor from LA in a few months. Looks like I may need to buy some socks!!!

Didn’t mean to scare you! I think the coldest I’ve seen here in 11 years is 19-20 degrees. Pretty rare that it gets really cold. Days like today, where it’s 40 and damp, make it feel much colder than it is.
You’ll love it here, I think!
